Unpublished Manuscripts

Savery's literary heir, the Rev. J. D. Hummerstone, retains her personal papers, including childhood exercise books and contracts with publishers. The greater bulk of the unpublished papers are in the manuscript collection in the Knight Library at the University of Oregon. The juvenilia and a handwritten copy of Emma, together with the Savery correspondence, are in the de Grummond Children's Collection at the University of Southern Mississippi. There are no other substantial collections of original Savery manuscripts.
